Our Goal: Player and Coach Development

Region 177's Spring Academy organizes players in age division/skill level groups known as a "Pod". Players Pod Color will be verified on Orientation Day.

There are no official teams in Spring Academy. This Academy is run by professional trainers to develop our players skills. There are two clinic sessions per week, and one scrimmage held on Saturdays. 

Spring Facts

• Spring Season is Typically March through May
• Orientation date, time, and location will be announced on the website, Facebook, and via email
  

Orientation Day Itinerary (NO PRACTICE on this day)

• @ Stanford Middle School
• Check-in
• Overview of expectations and logistics of the Academy
• Meet our professional trainers, Volunteers, and other players in your Academy Section
• Receive Academy Uniform Shirt and soccer ball
• 2016-2021 Players come at 9am for orientation and equipment pickup
• 2009-2015 Players & EXTRA players arrive at 10:30am for orientation and equipment pickup

What to bring to Orientation:

• Nothing! We have your forms and no equipment or paperwork is needed this day.
• Signed Player Registration Form
• Log into BlueSombrero and print the Medical Release form. Sign using blue or blank ink pen.
• If you received an email announcing your pod color you will not need to be dressed to play on Orientation Day (no uniform, shin guards, or cleats are necessary)
  

Players will receive:

• 1 Academy Uniform Shirt
• 1 Soccer Ball
• 1 Fun Spring Season with tons of quality ball time!
• We ask parents to provide: Black shorts and white socks.
• Players are required to dress in Academy Uniform to all practices and games (Academy Shirt)

What to bring to Training Sessions and Scrimmages:

• Ball, Cleats, Shin guards, Water

2025 Spring Academy Important Dates:
Saturday, March 8th you will receive your training jersey at orientation.

Training sessions will begin the week of March 10.
The first day of scrimmages will be held on March 15.
No training sessions will be held April 14-18 due to LBUSD spring break.
No scrimmages will be held on March 29 due to the Section 11 EXPO.
No scrimmages will be held on April 19 due to Easter weekend.
The final day of scrimmages will be on Saturday, May 17.

Below times/days are subject to change. We may need to balance groups based on registration numbers.


Refund Policy
1. Sports Connect and National Fee are non-refundable
2. Full refund until February 1 (EXCEPT non-refundable items i.e. Sports Connect and National fee)
3. $50 dollar refund until February 28.
4. No refund after March 1.
