Scope: AYSO Open Invitational – open to AYSO teams from all Sections.
When: Saturday & Sunday, Feb 22-23, 2025, NO Rain Dates, tournament will be cancelled in the event of a rainout.
Where: The tournament will be held at various public school fields in close proximity (no parking fee). NO pets are allowed at fields.
Who: AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions: U12/U11 (9v9) 12 players max, and U10/U09 (7v7) 10 players max. All players must have been registered to play in their organizations just completed the primary season.
What: Pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play. The top teams will advance to the medal round on Sunday afternoon. All games will be as follows: (50 min for U12, and 40 min for U10).
Why: The Beach Classic Open Invitational Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser by Region 177 to raise funds for Field Development, Equipment, & Maintenance, and to provide Scholarship funds for youths in Region 177.
Awards: All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament t-shirt and pin. All players on the 1st & 2nd of each flight will receive a trophy or medal.
Entry Fee, Refunds: $550 for 9v9, and $500 for 7v7. A full refund will be issued if the tournament is canceled and cannot be rescheduled (minus $35 fee). If a team withdraws 14 or more days before the tournament, a full refund is given (minus $35 fee). Within 14 days of the tournament, no refund is provided unless a replacement team is found (minus $35 fee).
Referee Deposit, Refunds: $300, refundable within 14 days of tournament completion if referee obligations have been met. Each team is asked to provide a 3-person referee team qualified to cover games at the same level of team entry, to cover 3 games during the tournament. Partial refunds will be given based upon the number of game slots completed.

Acceptance: The application deadline is February 10, 2025. All teams will be notified within 72 hours of the application deadline or receipt of application (whichever is latest) as to their status. Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list.

Please send one (1) AYSO Region check to cover both the Team Entry fee and Referee Deposit fees. Include a description of which team(s) the check is for by listing Team Name, Region or Organization, and Coach.
